Works well ,when bought in bulk ,there were many filters missing the red plastic piece and or hole openings were not open completly--still works as described.

Summary: "a better way"

After searching all places and finding two where I could purchase the Targards, buying online through Amazon, gave me a better product, price and I didn't have to drive all over town to get them. I have been using these filters to help me stop smoking for about a year. They have helped me cut back half of my volume daily, and I can't wait to see what the next six months brings. The shipping was quite fast, for days . The packaging protected the product securely, and I will certainly purchase this and future products through Amazon.

I was dissapointed when I received the pack of tar guard I threw away half the bag due to malfunction. I am not happy with this item purchased. my last order I placed was better. I would not order this again due to the tar guard defect/and being wasted. I had to buy some at the cvs. to me it was a waste of money.

Summary: "Know the Facts"

This filter may reduce some tar and nicotine from going into your lung, it doesn't block-out tar significantly as many people think. It will still stain your teeth brown, let harmful substances go into your body, and still make you stink like cigarette. If you're a nicotine addict like me and have some self-consciousness about your health but lacks willpower, why not use it? I don't know how much less harmful cigarettes maybe with this product but just watching tar accumulate even after 5 cigarettes or so makes you wonder what your lung really looks like one pack a day for 20 years. I guess some what of true benefit of using this product is watching the tar build up and be more aware of your health then insignificant amount of tar this filter captures per cigarette. So moral of my story is, if you think this filter captures tar and harmful substances enough to make cigarette any safer than not using the filter, you're fooled by great sales pitch of this product.
Just remember back then, how cigarette companies made you think if you smoke, you're cool & smooth as a Marlboro Man and Joe Camel and light cigarettes are much safer than the full flavored ones.
